What is everyone else dreaming they possesed?

For me?

Well let's see...not really in any particular order...

Colt WWI repro
2 Colt NRM s80 in blue (one for custom carry gun)
Colt NRM s80 in stainless
Colt SAA (new one in .45Colt, of course)
New Colt s70
New Colt Python Elite
New Colt Anaconda
Colt Delta Elite (blued)
Kimber TLE II/RL (awesome for HD setup)
Kimber Tactical Pro (the new one w/ external extractor)
USGI Colt 1911-A1
Real Colt M16 (full auto)
Remington 870 Mariner (Good for when I'm out on my boat)
USGI M1 Garand (safe queen)
New Springfield M1 Garand (for a shooter)
USGI Springfield 1903 (D I think it is? The one designated as a sniper rifle..with the Gov't scope on it)
Glock 19 (everyone should have a "regular" sized 9mm because 9mm is so cheap to shoot)
Glock 36 (to replace my current 26)
D.E. .50 (just for fun)
Taurus PT-92 in stainless (same reason as G19)
Taurus 24/7 pistols (they just seem pretty neat)
Browning Hi-Power
AK-47
12 gauge double barreled coach gun
Waffenamt Proof marked German K98 rifle
Waffenamt proofed p-38
SIG P220

Well, that's about all I can think of right now. I know it's a huge list, but it's a free country and I'm free to dream about whatever I want! I'm gonna write my list out and then as I save up some of my paychecks every week, I'll cross them off as I go! :)

So how about everyone else?

Let's See.... (LOONG list

some are "possible" some are "pipe dreams"

ORIGINAL Winchester 1897 "trench gun" (mainly safe queen, occasional shooter)
Norinco copy of above gun to use for "fun gun" and the Bayonet and other "stuff" for the two of them.

P17 enfield in good condition (need an "Alvin York" rifle)
A "shootable" 1903A3, Would love one of these with the (i think it's "SAA") Stock marking for the San Antonio Arsenal (not even sure if any '03A3s ever went there, but saw a regular 1903 with that mark)..
1911 (NON A1) in decent, again "shootable" condition. don't care if the finish is gone, etc as long as it works and can hit the broad side of a paper target
WW2 production 1911A1 (remington Rand or the ever popular Singer :D)
a Sistema 1911A1 with the "Aeronautica Argentina" roll mark (what can i say i'm an Air Force brat)
M-1 Garand
1941 Johnson rifle (REAL pipe dream)
M-1 Carbine
M-3 "grease gun"
K98 possibly one with Luftwaffe acceptance marks (these DO exist right??)
K98 "sniper rifle"
"sniper" version of a Mosin-Ngant (maybe a finnish one?)
Tokarev SVT40
M-14 or civvy clone (full Auto would be nice though)
M-21 (accurized, scoped "sniper" M-14)
M-16A1, Forwad assist and all, preferably with the early 3-prong flash hider (the REAL thing, not a slick side SP-1) and it's for my Wife
several AR-15 variations (including a shorty built on a C7 upper)
SVD "Dragonov"
Mossberg 590A1 (again for my wife)
Schmit-Rubin K31 or 1911
No4Mk1, No4Mk2, and No1Mk3 Enfields
an Ishapore "2A" Enfield (aka No1Mk3 built of better steel, and chambered for 7.62 NATO)
two customized Savage 10FPs one in .308 and one in .223
(2) Ruger Bisley Vaqueros in .45 colt (long colt)
Marlin1894 "cowboy" in 45colt
"4th gen" Norinco '97 "coach gun"
(preceeding 4 guns all for shooting Cowboy action)
Shiloh Sharps "1874 Long range Express" in 45-70 with 30" heavy half-octagon barrel and tang adn globe sights.
(really dreaming here) a BPCR Silhouette rifle based on the Peabody action.
2or3 customized .22 target rifles built on 10/22 actions, i still have the "bone stock" 10/22 carbine, i learned to shoot with (a "pre-idiot warning" exaple with a black walnut stock) but want to build a target gun for each member of the family (wife adn step-doughter LOVE the old 10/22 figure they need ones of their own, and i'm not gonna build them one and leave myself out :D)
High Standard Supermatic Citation
Ruger MkII "Government Target Competition" model, (if i can get one the Limited edition blued versions made for "Big Rock" all the better)

And more Ruger pistols and rifles than i really want to take the time to write out and that would just bore you anyway....

2 Rem. 870 Express 12ga, one left "stock" and the other fitted for my step-daughter.
A reproduction of a Whitworth muzzle loading rifle with an accurate (except of Eye releif) reproduction of the Brass telescope as used by CSA sharpshooters (any of you who know what i'm talking about, and know where/who to go to for a good copy [of rifle and or scope] let me know... also a lead on a mold for or source of the Hexagonal bullets would be nice)

oh and the last that my befuddled mind can come up with right now... and a REAL doozy of a rare gun, don't care if it's shootable or not, just want one where i can see how it all works....
Mondragon Rifle (aka SIG "lieger-Selbstlader-Karabiner 15") Designed by a Mexican officer, built by SIG, it was the first Self loading rifle "accepted" by any nation (in this case Mexico) for general issue. as it turned out MOST (3,000 out of 3,400) were bought (after mexico canceled their order) by Germany and other european powers to augment their armories at the start of WW1, wound up seeing service in the German Air Service as an "observer's weapon"

model 13 in 3"
model 36
model 42
BHP
In general I stay with anything 1911 style , J, K framed, or BHP.
been thinking about a NAA mini-revo in 22 mag.,for a new wrinkle and might be the ticket...

I need holsters( and accessories) , ammo, reload supplies, time and money for training, more than anything else in reality. So make this my priority before the guns.

Oh sure

It's been a while since I participated in one of these threads...guess I don't know enough about guns yet to have a 'Wish List' quite as .45FMJoe or Detritus. But, here goes:

A Colt Python(New or used as long as it is decent looking...it will be a shooter). (This is the only gun where brand is important to me. Other than this, I think most big name guns are all decent quality.)

Decent 1911: Stainless with Rosewood grips...brand name isn't important...just think they are pretty guns.

Light-weight .32 Magnum Snubby(would like a S&W, but a Taurus could keep me happy.)

Lever Action .357 Carbine

Nice Bolt action in 7mm Remington Magnum

M1 Garand

And while I'm dreaming, one of those custom AR's in 300 WSM would be nice...but, I'm not sure I could afford to shoot it. I mean...it would be a blast, but each magazine of ammo would be like 40 bucks!!!!!

Well, mine are pretty wierd.
Customized Gary Reeder guns:
http://www.reedercustomguns.com/revolvers/shooter_TrailRC.htm
http://www.reedercustomguns.com/revolvers/ultimate41.htm
I have the base guns for them, just waiting for my ship to come in...
KKM conversion barrel for my G20 to shoot 357SIG.
KKM conversion barrel for my G20 to shoot .40 s&w.
KKM 6" ported, compensated 10mm barrel for my G20.
I want to send my USP compact .45 to Teddy Jacobson for an action job. Maybe some nights, too.
I'd also like a USP full-size .40, converted to fire 10mm.
CZ97b, glossy blue, with custom FLGR.
I'm also in the market for an older smith 610, and a model 57. Both 4"
I'd also like a steyr 9mm, the one with trapezoid sights.
A smith 10xx, and a couple of mags, in 10mm (Of course.)
Edited to add smith CS9, and a couple of mags.
Some hi-caps for my Sig 228. A bunch of metalform mags for my Razorback.
That's in the next near.
I may check around for 1911 pattern 10mms or a professionally converted .40 para double-stack.

A very short list for a shooting fool....

First on the list:

Kel-Tec P-3AT

then.................

CZ 75
Yugo SKS

and perhaps.......

A nice over-and-under 12 ga.

Wud U believe that's it??

Realistically, I "need" a 9MM, 1911, and a 3 inch HB .357 mag. It's more difficult than you might think to pick the right ones. I'll have the best luck with the .357 revolver. Jammers break my heart and go to he very bottom of my safe. I won't pass a jammer off to someone else and pat myself on the back.
Gotta look in that mirror sometimes.

If I could have this Ed Brown Classic Custom, I wouldn't need a wishlist (yeah, I know, B.S.!)

HAH

One of those 3" .44 Special M24's to start. A few Smith PC K, L, and N frame .357's, with trijicon inserts on the 3" & 4" barrels. One of the long barreled PC .44 Maggies designed for hunting too. And definitely several custom revolvers from some of those gunsmiths. Oh yeah, a few more Hi Powers as well.

Rifles? Well, custom Garands are really nice, and both a M4 & a 20" HB AR type, to start off with........ :neener:

hmmmmmm......

First is a Colt CCO.....
Maybe a Kimber CDP Compact (or both!)
Ultimate would be a Caspian Tianium Officer's frame and Commander length damascus slide fitted with the hight quality parts and assembled by a quality 'smith. (or all three!!)

A legal to own HK UMP .45
Nexus .45 supressor

Oldies I still wish I had:
Valmet M76 .308
Beretta M70s .22
Colt 1911(circa 1918)
All my Colt 1991A1's

Marvel .22 conversion unit
.460 Rowland conversion unit

That would make me happy!
Jercamp45

1. SIG P239 in .357 SIG w/9mm conversion barrel
2. 18" FAL Carbine (currently under construction)
3. IAI M1 Carbine
4. USGI M1 Garand
5. SW1911 (or a Valtro if I move out of MA before making the purchase)
6. Ohio Ordinance Works Semi-Auto BAR
7. Browning Hi-Power

Which wish list? The "Dream list", the more realistic "before I die I'd like...list", the more immediate "4-5 year acquisition list" or the most immediate and likely "in the next year or two I'd like to have 3 or 4 * of the following" list?

The "in the next year or two I'd like to have at least 3 or 4* of the following" list is:
-M1 Carbine
-M1 Garand
-M1A
-AR 15 and/or AR 180
-Mini-14
-Howa bolt action in .308, .243 or .223
-Remington 870
-Lanber O/U shotgun (12ga)
-Hi-Power (probably a used Browning/FN, maybe an FM)
-a .41 Mag (not sure which model)
-Taurus 94 (probably both the 2" snub and a 4", maybe the .22lr Tracker instead of the 4")
-Colt Python, probably a 4"
-a true "pocket pistol" (I have pocketable guns, Taurus 85, Bersa Thunder in .380, but I don't yet have a small pocket gun- pretty much the biggest hole in my "collection" right now)
-more K-frames (of course)
-Taurus 905 (the 9mm snub that should be coming out anytime now)
-Taurus PT911
-another 1911 or 3 (Kimber Pro-Carry or CDP, Colt Defender, SA Mil-spec, I'd also like a Valtro if I can come up with the money)
-10mm (not sure between the S&W, EAA Witness or Colt)
-SAA clone or Ruger Vaquero
-lever action carbine in .357mag, .44mag or .41mag (instead of the .44mag if I get a .41mag revolver)
-a few used S&W autos
-Taurus PT92 or Beretta 92, or both if after getting one I decide I really like the design
-another CZ or two (not sure which, 75SA, 85 Combat, 97B, 100, but probably only one or two)

I'm sure I'm leaving some out but this is what comes to my mind the fastest and with least thought (thus, probably what I most want). Hmm, looking over the list I'm thinking it might have been easier to list what isn't on the list :D .

*note: It is highly likely that I will buy more than 3 or 4 guns over the next year or two. However, I tend to get sidetracked sometimes and it is likely that I will buy guns that aren't on my list before I pick up some of those on the list.

Good thread.

I have a pretty short list, compared to some...

M1 Garand
Colt 1991A1 (don't care what finish)
Bersa Thunder .380
Beretta 84F
CZ-75 (maybe a SA variant)
Ruger GP101 in .357
Desert Eagle in .357
Ruger P-89

I'm sure I missed some, but that's the bulk of it.

Wes

Some of these lists are looooooong. Of course, we could just do what Skunk does and circle the H&K catalog. :D You can have everything else, just give me my MP5K. No, wait, I want the GMG too.
gmgcover.jpg

Wish list.

Just off the top of my head.

#1. Iron Brigade Armory - rifle - M40 - chambered in 300 W.M.

#2. NIB or never fired - 1940 era Winchester Model 42.

#3. H&K USP - variant #1 in 10mm. [if they made one]

12-34hom.
