just get 1 10-22 and the rest of the money can be spent on one weekends worth of ammo ( about 400,000,000,000,000 rounds of .22 lr)

Well If I had 2500 to spend I would probably get a:

308 saiga conversion Dragunov style with optics
short saiga conversion in 308 to match
308 bolt gun (if you need to shoot at ranges exceeding the dragunov style saiga)
shotgun or 2
Lots of ammo.
