My preferred method of removing the wood and cleaning under a running hot water tap didn’t jive too well with the grease packed innards. I gave it a go but I could see around the hammer and trigger area the red Mobile 1 getting black and it just didn’t set well. And I spent more time fiddling with trying to clean the gun under the hammer and in its frame recess than I cared too.
Wash with Dawn, blow dry with compressed air, generous squirts of Ballistol in all openings with a quick squirt of compressed air to move the oil around wipe down and put away. No rust ever. 10 minutes tops per gun cleaning.
