I have been looking for a cool new toy, and a backup weapon for the zombie invasion, and I have come across the Sog tactical tomahawk.

From what I hear and have seen this thing is pretty cool. A guy cut through some 28 guage sheet metal and a cinder block with it. I have been considering getting it but I want some other opinions.

Does anyone have experience with this thing, if so is it any good? Are there any other cool blades (particularly tomahawks) that would be worth checking out.

Also what is the best quality kukhri (for a reasonable price).

I do not own one, but I have heard some people mention that they have learned to dislike the pointy spike on the back of their 'hawks; apparently, it's a little too easy to poke yourself in the face with it. Sure, the spike is nice, but hammer heads are useful, too... YMMV.

great sites gunfighter, that one had legit gurka kukhris, one day I'm gonna have to spoil myself and get one of those thanks!

mikejackmin I heard the same thing about the spike being dangerous its pretty sick looking though

Welcome to THR! HI probably makes the best authentic kukuris, but prices have gone up lately because costs have also gone up. Still very fair prices for the huge, sturdy handmade knife you'll get.

The reviews for the SOG Fusion tomahawk have been very positive. While I expect you don't have a real need or practical use for it, the evaluators have been impressed and for the price you could end up wasting your money on "hawks" of much lower quality.

For real work in the bush the kukri or barong make great tools.
