Well all my funds from the ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ Decals I am selling (thanks guys by the way) is still going toward my CMP M1 Carbine.

But I have AR fever, so I started selling stuff, and decided to sell my beloved Taurus Ultra-Lite Titanium 38 Special Snubnose. This gun was in great shape and I knew it would bring close to retail so I put her up for sale, to help fund the AR build.

Sold in 3 hours online. :what:

At first I actually told one guy thanks but no thanks and withdrew the ad. But then after browsing through sites looking at Uppers for the new AR I realized why I was selling the little snubby to begin with.

Thankfully someone else called before I could remove the Ad and the gun was sold, Transaction completed and firearm cleaned and placed in factory case with manual and Keys ( ).

Does anyone else feel this way when selling a firearm they are fond of for the first time. I really liked the Taurus but the AR is calling me to build it.

I think it is even worse because I would sometimes carry the snubnose. I had become attached to it really.

Though I still have many Handguns I do not have another revolver, so I will have to replace it as soon as I can.

Selling a good gun feels like selling a good dog. :(

Yeah, but you're selling it to buy another gun you want more. Nothing wrong with that!

Regarding selling guns quickly, I've sold a few here and a few more elsewhere. I do some research to find out what similar ones are going for, then I price mine slightly lower. Someone will jump on it like it's the deal of the century, usually within an hour, and everyone's happy.:)

Selling one of my guns would be worse than selling my only daughter!! Not going to happen!!

I would rather go down fighting first.

Remember, guns are things. I was very attached to many of my guns, but now regard them as objects. Valuable objects with history attached, yes, but objects.

I have no problem with selling modern-production guns I could easily re-buy, guns that don't work well with me, or guns that I simply don't shoot and aren't saving for any historical reasons.

I recently sold a gun of mine to pay off some bills, put some money in the bank, and otherwise get myself back on stable financial footing. I haven't shot it in a year or so and can't afford to feed it, so it wasn't a big deal.

Hopefully your gun ended up in good hands, and someone will value it.

I don't so much mind selling the firearm as I mind losing money! The amount most gun shops will pay is worse than perverse.

I have been sitting on my S.A. M1A "Loaded" for nearly two years, and have fired it once in that time. Firing it makes my neck stiff (fused at levels C4, C5 & C6). Even a scope is too low for me on it. But, the amount of money I would lose selling the M1A? No, not, never. My daughter keeps saying she doesn't want it, but I have noted a change in her of late in the past 6 weeks.

She is coming to understand the facts of guns being made illegal with a brush-stroke in Washington. She has tremendous appreciation that I have purchased firearms in proper reflection of that past, and the potential future repeat. In fact, she recently asked it, "Dad....did you buy X before it goes illegal?" She gets it! As such, maybe, just maybe someday she will want to get this S.A. from me too. I have 2, 5-round magazines, and all of the others are what they should be. :D

I've sold and traded several guns in the past, usually ones bought on a whim. After owning them for a length of time (some a very short time :) ), I sold them to buy something else. The only guns of mine not for sale are ones I received as gifts.

I've sold three guns in the last year and wish I had 2 of them back. I take more time buying now and won't sell anything (unless it is to buy the exact same thing. I did that with a shotgun because I wanted a different color stock).
