I wanted to write a few thoughts on "The Combat Shotgun" video with Louis Awerbuck for anyone that may be considering borrowing it from the Lending Library. For those of you that have also seen the Video, please feel free to add your own comments about it.
The video covers a wide range of information on combat shotguns: types of shotguns, accessories, patterning, slings, methods of shotgun carry, how to load and unload ammo in a gunfight, taking multiple shots at a target, how to transition from one weapon to another, etc. It is obvious that Mr. Awerbuck knows his stuff, and I learned alot from watching the video.
On the downside, the production of the video is done in a very amateur way, appearing almost like a home video. And to some extent, the video is dated. There is no mention of Surefire lights, for example, which now seem to set the standard.
All is all, this video is well worth viewing. I think most people will learn some new things about combat shotguns and how to best employ them in a gun fight by watching it.
