I just moved from NC to SC 3 months ago and called to find out what I need to do concerning my CHP. I have to attend ANOTHER class, reapply with SC SLED, wait another 90 days, pay ANOTHER $150+ bucks... I mean, its worth it but man this is crazy.

Someone PLEASE tell me there is a loophole :) /rant

I'm with you, a loophole would be wonderful but not there I'm sure. The first time I called they told me that everything was ok just proceed with my NC permit until it expires. Then I thought... well the address won't be the same, so I called back. Second time they told me all this nonsense.

Thats a little exagerated. The fee to SLED is $50. The class can be taken for as little as $60.

You were gonna shoot up 50 rounds of ammo at some point so Im not counting that.

Hey, I have an idea... go back to NC? LOL

And a Clemson guy to boot.... Oh man.....

The fee in NC is $90. I guess it was assumed that it was the same in SC.

AllAmerican... I guess someone has to be a jack a$$ in about every thread. Classes that I JUST LOOKED UP were about $75. So sorry that I was thinking it would be similar to NC. When I took it there it was $100 so I was thinking it would be in or around the same in SC. 100+50= 150 thats where I got my numbers from. WOW exaggerated by a whole $25, you can't be serious!!!! Someone alert the press.

Its people like you that make some threads difficult to view. I LOVE THR and have been a member for about 2 years. I'm not sure if I've ever had anyone make a dumb idiotic comment like that.

Hey hey hey I have an idea... go back to NC LOL?

Shut up and put in some decent input or ****. Can no one rant anymore?

Thanks everyone else for your solid input.

Y'all stop this nonsense. If you wanna spat like schoolkids, take it to PMs and spare the board from this drivel.
