Anyone know a good source to load up on some 158 gr hollow point LSWC bullets to use in some of my low level .357 loads and some .38 spcls?
Thanks all.
I believe that both Speer and Hornady still manufacture Lead 158 gr HPSWC Bullets. I bought my last ones from MidwayUSA in a boxes/500 several weeks for my S&W Moedel 60. Check their Website.
I know that Hornady makes what you are looking for at a good price. I believe that they come 300 to a box. They have a knurled surface to retain the lube. I take these and tumble lube them with Lee liquil alox. It works very well.
These contain a different alloy than the wadcutters and standard SWC's, and need to be loaded to top .38spl non-+P or to +P to get good accuracy.
They don't shoot well at low-standard velocities.
I've found 3.5gr of Bullseye shoots well. 2.9gr didn't.
4.3gr of Win231 and 4.8gr of Unique or 4.7gr Universal did well.
