Anyone know where I can buy bulk cast 6.5X55 bullets?

If I were to get real particular I'd say a source with bullets over .264 dia and in 160 grain range would be perfect.

I have looked and have had no luck finding a source.

Thanks in advance!

I have looked at casting but it looks like too much hassle to me and I don't like to touch lead let alone melt the stuff.

I found all of the sources you did RCMODEL but no 160 grainers in anything and very little in anything more than 1 thou over .264.

Maybe getting a lead cast and swaging to my bore size would be feasible.

But I would sure like to find a 158 or 160 grain bullet.

What are you scared of? Simple precautions taken will NOT result in you tipping over from lead poisoning. Forget all the scare stories from the EPA, and the myths that keep getting repeated on forums like this and others.

Be careful what you wish for, cause you might lose what you got.

I notice there are no 6.5x55, 160 grain or heavier cast bullets listed in the Lyman manual.
A 140 RN and a 150 TCFP are the heaviest cast bullets they show data for.

Maybe Lyman really knows something about cast bullets after all?
They been doing it for over 100 years!

I also noticed this about the 175 Lee bullet on the Western website:
This bullet has a controversial history as being difficult to shoot well. Research data and performance before ordering.

Could be there is a stability problem when you get above 150 grains or so at those velocity levels.

TooManyToys - thanks!

I knew there were better searchers out there than I am!

One of the military rounds was 158 grains so I wanted to try to get close to that with my 6.5

Hey Colt driver, Your welcome.

Are your going to use these in a 6.5 Swede ?
If you get some of these I'd be interested in hearing what you think of them.
They look like a good deal for the money w/ gas checks, lubed & everything.
