Hey gang, I just picked up a Browning X-bolt in .300WSM and I have everything to reload for it except for brass.

The only brass I'm finding is the "gourmet" Nosler, Norma brass for a premium price.

I did find 50 Nosler cases at Cabela's for about $2.50 a case and didn't want to spend that much per case.

I am going to load some 165gr TTSX and I also found some Barnes commercial ammo loaded with that bullet for $50/20. Figure $0.50 value per bullet (that's what I paid recently when I bought 250 on sale) if I pulled them and loaded my own powder and I'm still paying $2 per case.

Anyway, does anyone have any ideas where to look for some Winchester, Remington, Federal, Hornady etc brass other than the usual Midway, Brownells, etc?

I would appreciate any heads up.

Thanks guys.

I have long wanted to buy a rifle chambered in one of those fat short cartridges, specifically 7mm RUM, but this is exactly why I haven't taken the plunge.

If I happen to run into a good deal on what your searching for I'll drop you a PM. I'm going to be in town today, I'll check with a guy that often has tough to find once fired, might get lucky and find some for ya.

300 WSM is by far the most common of the short/fats. I found some blue box Federal ammo for $20/ box shortly after buying my rifle. Bought 5 boxes for $100 and have used the brass for loading after shooting up the factory loads.
