South Bend Indiana Gun Show

Does anyone have any experience with the South Bend Gun and Knife show?

I am excited as it will be my first gun show, however, I dont want to drive 2 hrs and be disappointed.

Where are you from? MI or IL, Go to Grand Rapids MI. South of NW IN go to the indy gunshow. Its not worth the two hour drive, Its not even worth the 15 minute drive for me to go. Last time I went I was in awe of its suckage.

I go to the Indy show, its worth the 4 hour drive.

Indy 1500 rocks!

I would highly recommend the Indy 1500 show. It is at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis and it is huge - it takes me 2 1/2 to 3 hours to do a walk through of all the aisles, even if the place is not packed with people.

There are always several hundred exhibitors. Busse Combat knives sends a sales rep with knives for sale, if you are a Busse junkie like I am. You will find Randalls and Chris Reeve knives for sale as well. You will find anything and everything gun, shooting and reloading related for sale, as well as at least one Glock armorer who will upgrade your Glock while you wait.

I have started going on Fridays at 2pm when they open, as Saturdays are extremely crowded and Sundays can be too. Some of the exhibitors will pack up and leave around mid afternoon on Sundays, if they have made alot of sales. IMHO, early on Friday is the best time to go.

I went to one there in Sept. Cost 6 bucks to get in, and it was a waste of time. Turned around and drove 45 minutes to Rochester, IN. Very good show there same day.
FYI There is a Gunshow at Borkholder's Dutch Village in Nappanee, IN tomorrow 8am to 4pm. Usually a very good show.

It will suck, bad. You will be disappointed. Don't waste a 2hr drive. Go to the Indy 1500. No show will be the same after that. I don't even waste my time unless it's the 1500.
