Just looked at a Ruger SP101 .357 3" Stainless. Very, Very little use and checked out like NIB. Box, books and everything included. The only thing that has me guessing is the gold hammer, trigger and cylinder release. $350.00. I think it's about $25 to $35 too high except for the gold. I'm puzzled, what do you people think? I might need to jump quickly. Posted also on TFL.
thanks for the help,
dean

I saw a sp101 with the gold trimmings. It was a limited edition from some distributer, I cant remember who. It also had wood inserts on the grips. Looked good though.

I think you are about right on that it is a tad high. But not much.

Dean C:

Did it look something like this:

That was a 2" version. I paid $260 (used) + $90 for the grips from Eagle Grips.

$350 seems high to me.... unless you really want that gold trim. I'd rather spend a little more and get one without the gold - too "blingy" for me.

Thanks for all the help. I tossed them a low ball now I'll just wait and see. I am leaning heavy toward buying it. (that gold sure is pretty)

They came down $25.00 so I bought it. Here in the comfort of my own home, I've thoroughly inspected it and cannot see any indication that it had been fired. Essentially I picked up a NIB for $325.

I'm happy,

Dean, Karen was looking over my shoulder and after seeing the one in the Camfor link she says "It looks COOL!"

Better not let her get close to yours or she'll try and talk you out of it.
