Spanish auto pistol experts

I need a little guidance, I'm not real familiar with the Spanish autos, particularly the Star and Llama guns. I have a Llama IIIA in 380 it came to me without a slide release lever, instead it has a Chicago type screw through the frame and link.
If had no luck finding the proper release, I'm on the waiting list with
Gun parts.com but that could take months or years, if ever. I've found a slide release for a Star SS the pistol looks very close to the Llama, both outwardly look like baby 1911's .
What are the chances the Star release could be made to work?

Star and Llama are, or at least were, two separate companies, and having parts interchangeable would be a shot in the dark. Have you checked Ebay or Gunbroker for the part you need?
