I carry my Speed Six an awful lot. It's in my ccw rotation. I love this gun. Would never part with it. Perfect size. 357 caliber I know can handle the job if called upon. Who else out there is a Speed Six fan.
I'm glad I got mine back in the day. Hate to try and buy one today. Especially on greeat condition.

I still see them in local private markets at decent prices occasionally.
I've always wanted one to play with, but the stars never aligned...

...yet!

Had a couple of them years ago and foolishly parted with them after hearing the call of the self-loading semi-auto. Would love to have a Security Six or Speed Six again.

I have two, both 2 1/2 inch. One stainless in .38 (actually the wife's), and one blued .357.
Bought both used, they are both silky smooth and good shooters.
I don't carry them, they are the nightstand tools.

Never, ever, ever going to trade or sell my 2 3/4" Security Six. One of my favorite firearms. Period.

I have a stainless 2 3/4 speed six that gets a lot of time on my belt. I paid a lot for it several years ago, but not regrets.

IMHO the only drawback of the Speed Six is its weight, other than that it is a terrific revolver.

Yep, the Speed Six is a great one.

My only Speed Six. I've got a Service Six, SP101 and SPNY. This is a great gun.

I believe the size and weight is perfect for a CCW it's just heavy enough to make real 357 loads manageable, my biggest problem with it is it's about the same size and weight as my Sig P229 40 that carrys twice the ammo and shoots the same weight bullets at the same speeds.
Still love my speed 6 though

Out of curiosity, what's the fundamental difference between the Speed Six and the SP101?

EDIT: The fact that it's called the "speed six" and not the "speed five" should be a clue. I'm an idiot, sorry.

I've had my Speed-Six for almost 40 years. I carry it once or twice a month in a Milt Sparks Summer Special 2 holster. Great gun but it is a little big for concealed carry but the Speed is lighter than the GP100 series.

I have a Speed Six and..

....once had a SP101 in the 3 inch flavor. The size difference is very small so I kept the Six. Also liked the finish better. It's nicely smoothed out and rounded where as the newer SP had a lot of sharper edges on it.
