Anyone ever pattern this stuff? It's reduced recoil buckshot. 8 copper plated pellets. I'm going to pattern it myself as i found a sleeve of 50rds for $19 at a gun show. The sticker on the sleeve said "Manufactured for Speer" Right underneath the sticker there was another sticker that said "Manufactured for Federal". Inside were 10 5rd boxes. So i'm assuming that the federal tactical and speer lawman are probably made in the same place and are comparable, though i don't know if the federal is copper plated.

Haven't used it, but the only results that count are those from YOUR shotgun. For that price, easily worth the gamble.

$0.38 a round, good price these days....

Is your ammo in Blue hulls? Mine say Speer Lawman in silver lettering along with 2 3/4, 70m/m and 00 Buck on the hull. I came into about a half a case of the stuff.

I have not had a chance to pattern it yet. Recently I had a class though where an agency showed up with this ammo. It all fired without a glitch, since it was a class we were shooting steel so no idea on pattern from that either but it seemed to work fine. Let us know how it works in your gun, will try to do the same.

I compared the rounds of the Speer that I have to Federal Low Recoil. It's the same darn round except for hull color! The writing style is identical, the placement of the words and the wording on the hull is almost indentical, they transpose one line but it says the exact same thing! The primers appear the same and the brass portion is the marked identically, the crimp is the same.

This would make sense since the Blount conglomerate owns Speer, Federal and now Estate too. I think it's just a matter of price point marketing. I will disassemble a round of each but am willing to bet they are nearly identical inside as well.

I heat gunned off the speer label on the sleeve...underneath it was a federal label :D

$19 for 50 rounds of Federal Tactical 00 Buck is pretty cheap.
