Well, too many people, including my parents, didn't like the name "Heston" for our baby boy.

So I FINALLY came up with a gun name that everybody loves...Spencer.

Good name?

Anything I should know about that name besides the fact that it's a 19th century repeater?

There's never been a communist mass murderer named Spencer or anything like that has there? :)

Man this has been tough! This poor kid is stuck with the label we put on him for the next hundred years! Oh the pressure!

Who cares what anyone else thinks about his name. It's your kid do what you want.

Edit: (In regards to the in-laws)

Love the name "Spenser". Great character on the show...had morals, ethics, intelligence, and could fight. A good joe all the way around.

I always though that Atticus would be a good name for a kid, Tycho for short. Tycho just sounds cool, and Atticus was an upright citizen in "To Kill a Mockingbird.

But nobody should name your kid except you. Who cares what people think aside from your wife? I would say "give me advice not orders!" and name your kid whatever you want.

Oh yeah, and Spenser/Spencer is a great name. ;)

On the contrary, Winston, I would say that all thoughts and advice on the matter are very important. Don't forget that your child will have to go through life with this name, including elementary school, and you don't want him to be bullied or picked on because you gave him an odd or sissy name. My mother picked my name because it, "sounded so nice.", and I went through all kinds of fights and hazing because of it.

Pick a name that will fit your son well, and look up what it means (hate to find out that 'bob' means wondergirl in slovakian!). Spenser is a good name, different but no too much, and it implies a lot of good traits. Alan/Allan/Allen comes from some language that means Stone or Hammer (in the context of Hammer-stone, the first tool). It's really cool to look up what names mean and it can be inspirational.

Gotta go with Spenser. The "s" gives it class and everything they said. Great pic. You'd better post pictures.:)

Our boy is named Spencer. I thought the same thing when we were picking names. Actually, I saw the name on an electric company truck by one of the plants I work at.

The boy is only 18 months old and already has three guns. He calls them "boom-booms". He's 34" tall and weighs 30 pounds. Looks like there's going to be another big fella in the clan.

Ryan.

hit my profile button then my e-mail addy ,it's a great name !!! everone has called me that for years till the day some asked "whats your last name??" then they found out it was. :D oh yes spell it with a "C" not an "S"

S in Spencer is for the pseudo-neuvo-riche crust. Use c, be a hilly billy. ;)

Or trying Samuel, Sam for short. Maybe slip Colt in the middle name slot. ;)

There is a certain mystique to the Spencer.

I think that would be a fine name.
