Went there today with 2 friends about 11:00am and they had about 6 different powders and probably 5-10K CCI Large Pistol Primers, about 3K CCI #41 primers, 300 Large Rifle Primers. I think if we would have got there around opening time we might have been able to get Small Rifle and Small Pistol Primers but at that time they had none on the shelf. One of my friends needed Large Pistol Primers and the limit was 200 per customer, so I bought a 2-100 packs, another friend did the same and my third friend the same and they were all for him. He paid us back. I think you have to be there when the open.

Check online and see what you can order online and get shipped to the store. Last year I ordered 1000 CCI 500s and picked them up instore. I did last month see some powder for the first time in months, but I don’t get in there often so I’m not sure what they may have more often. They do have a full stock of all gun accessories. Mags, AR parts, presses, dies, tumblers, it’s all there.

With a limit of of 200 primers, it's almost not worth driving down there unless you were going anyway...although $50/k is a pretty good price

Was in Bass Pro a couple months ago. Limit one sleeve per person. I told the guy I don’t need a $7 sleeve of primers bad enough stand in line for 30 minutes.

Depends on the area. A friend in AZ gave me a shout when he swung by one in Chandler. They had about 15-20k of small pistol mag, small rifle, large pistol, #41, etc. All 200ea limit of course. Another update from someone in the area a few days later said they still had plenty.

I didn't go get anything since I'm pretty set on everything they had. If they had regular small pistol and large rifle I would have gone multiple days in a row and possibly recruited a neighbor to roll with me.

I bought a thousand small Rifle at one time. good price too. About $68.00 Uh Good price for the times.

11/2020-2/2021 I drove the 2.5 hours round trip for 13 straight weeks searching for primers.

At the opening bell I was either standing in front of Cabelas or Sportsmans. Directly to the gun counter to check on powder/primers, then across town to the other one.

After those 2 mad dashes, I would stroll into Scheels.

In those 13 weeks I think the score was

Cabelas -2,000
Sportsmans-3,000
Scheels-14,000.

If Sportsmans or Cabelas had primers, it was a few 1,000. When Scheels had primers, they had pallets.

I know the employees at one of those outfits were only selling primers to their friends. The story is too long to post but one employee got mad at the other because he went in the back and got me 1,000. Even asked me how I knew “Frank!”

I went down to Kentucky last Friday after starting to see multiple posts for primers at Sportman's Warehouse. Closest one was 55 miles away. No primers, and they said that hadn't seen any in 2 months. Sure wish retailers with multiple locations would balance out their supply deliveries.

I got 1K of SPP from Cabelas in Centerville about 2 months ago. Walked in at the right time I guess….lol

There hasn't been a primer in the Triad of NC for over two years that I know of.
Triad is triangle between High Point, Greensboro, and Winston Salem.
if you wander as far as johnson city, mahoneys had several thousand on the shelf a few weeks ago. I bought a couple thou of fed gm small rifle AR and went back the next week and they still had some left. not cheap, but they're there.

I work 5 minutes from Cabela's in the DFW area. I was checking every day but lately when they come in the primers were priced at $90/k. At that price, I'll pass but they are gone by the next day so some folks are willing to pay that much. I still have close to a year's worth so I'm not desperate, I'll leave 'em for those who really need them.
