Well, the tech at Brownells said he didn't think they did, the tech at Wolff said they don't. The Taurus guy didn't know (but he probably didn't know what day it was either), and wouldn't let me talk to the service folks. And I can't remember (I know I've seen this before, but my memory is really slipping).

I have a Taurus 425 (Titanium .41 Mag Tracker) in the shop that has springs in it (main and trigger return) with a slash of blue paint on them. They do not look cut, and the customer is complaining about 3 out of 5 rounds not going off repeatedly.

I don't have an other Tauruses to compare to, and none of my aftermarket spring kits have paint on them (Brownells, Wolff).

Anybody know if Taurus springs are marked like this or if they are aftermarket springs, and what company marks their springs with a splash of paint?

Thanks!

M.

Sorry I can answer for sure on this one but I think they may be stock. I have made some parts for assembly line production and it was not uncommon for the buyer to want parts painted this color or that. They said it was faster during assembly.

I'd buy that if the two different springs were different colors. But they are drastically different springs with the same color paint. So I still think they are a brand mark versus an item mark.

Thanks, though.
