Just wanted to say it was better than I expected.

I have a 1911A1 loaded model. I was cleaning this gun Sunday a week ago and noticed that the ejector had some wiggle to it. I also notice that it appeard to be pinned to the frame. On Monday Oct. 4th I called the Springfield Amory customer service about this issue. Before I hung up I had a prepaid FedEx shipping label emailed to me. I went home at lunch and boxed up the pistol and sent it off.

Today Oct. 11th I get the pistol back repaired.

That's a great turnaround since I had 4 to 6 weeks in my head.

Happy with the pistol and happy with the CS.

Good for you. They're known for their excellent customer service. :)

I have always had very good expereince with them as well. Enough so that I decided to get a custom shop build from them.

I have only had one out of a bunch of Springfield pistols have any trouble (a trigger double step issue) and they fixed it correctly and returned it within three weeks. I will be a customer for life (enjoying the lifetime warranty) because of their excellent service.......a rare commodity in a world of chinese made Wally World throw away products.

I had an issue with the anodizing on my Lightweight Champion Operator and called them. After sending them a photo of the problem, they sent me a box and fixed it; don't remember how long it took, but it wasn't that long.

Springfield Armory's customer service is legendary for their personal, expedient, knowledgable staff and owning up to their product and fixing it. They back their pistols and their products and it is for that reason why I will continue to buy Springfield Armory. I have my eye on other 1911's, but the stable will always have a Springfield or ten in it. Glad you had a great experience with them. It's what separates companies in today's market if you ask me.

I just got my 1911 Loaded Champion back in 10 days including shipping. I was shocked as they quoted 4-6 weeks. The replaced the barrel and front sight as well as cleaned up all the coarse machined surfaces and adjusted the trigger pull. The trigger now rivals just about every high dollar 1911 I've had the pleasure to shoot. It was then test fired for accuracy to great improvement. They have made a lifetime customer of me and I'll be saving for a bit longer to purchase a full size 1911 from them instead of Sig as I had planned.

Doorman: I posted a similar postive comment about Springfield Armory's excellent customer service on my M1A i n the rifle section and the Mods bounced my post ito the Public and Private Transactions at the very bottom of THR. Springfield's customer service is excelent and I highly recommend Springfield Armory products. :)
