Springfield XDS

I seen post on the XD site that say +P is fine. I have two XDS 45 and there is no way I gonna shoot +P in them. Standard pressure is a hand full in that gun.
I think the job can get done just as well with standard ammo, follow up shots will be faster on target and they won`t be as hard on the gun or you.
You could check SA to be sure. Nice gun, huh.

I carry hornady +p ammo in mine and shoot that ammo fairly regularly to ensure reliability. It's fine, but a steady diet can cause the gun to wear prematurely.

Pretty sure it says all this in the manual too.

I check the manual and didn't see anything about +p. Wouldn't run a steady diet of the stuff, but came across some Winchester LE loads that remind me of the Black Talon and was going to use as a carry load. It is a real nice gun for carry, and I was surprised by the accuracy with the short barrel.

I must be mistaken then. Maybe I checked on the FAQ page of their website, but I am 99% sure I read it from a SA official source somewhere. I like having a little more pressure for a short barreled gun, but always get word from the company first. My full sized guns get standard pressure ammo.

Just for informational sake, I found my XDs to hit POA most consistently with 230 grain ammo. Lower weight ammo hit low as expected, but also produced a lot more muzzle flash than the 230 gr ammo.

I agree, the gun carries great, especially in a hybrid IWB holster. I forget I'm carrying it. I'm also consistently impressed with the accuracy of that little monster, and was really surprised the first time I shot it.

While I'm sure that +P in limited quantity wouldn't hurt an XDs, I just carry std pressure 230gr in mine. Seems like it would do whatever I needed it to.
