Spyderco ARK Questions for John Shirley?

Just picked one of these cool little guys up. Could you discuss the thoughts behind clip point specifically, as to choice and application in this type of knife. I am not as savvy with blade stuff as bullet stuff and appreciate any wisdom and insight.

Hey, Dave.

The idea behind the ARK was a defensive knife light, short, and thin enough to always be on a service member. It is designed as a slasher, which is one of the reasons behind this style point. The other is to angle the blade away from the handle, to maximize protection for the user while keeping a minimal profile.
