I have 5 magazines for my SR-45. Four of them work very well, but the last one I purchased falls out of the gun upon firing. I measured them and the new one is 1.262" deep at the magazine retention notch, the rest are 1.272". It's possible that there is some other issue, but the magazine fits fine, it just falls out when firing, the first 2-3 rounds usually do OK, but after that it's pretty much every round dislodges the magazine.

I should probably ship this back to Ruger or swap it at the store, but SR-45 magazines are hard to get hold of. Is there any reliable way to fix this - perhaps bump out the metal near the magazine retention hole?

If you return it to Ruger, they'd either repair or replace it. Seems like the safest route.

My SR45 did that as well. My LGS where I purchased it swapped out mags, and that issue was fixed. I had several other issues with the SR45 though, and ended up getting rid of it.

My SR-45 had some issues at first, but after about 200 rounds it's now doing just fine with the other 4 magazines.

I've been enjoying the SR-45, I've got close to 500 rounds through it, mostly light handloads with 185g Ranier flat points. I've also run a bunch of Gold Dots through it. The Gold Dots have never jammed.
