Stag arms

Any good?

Reason I ask is because in the August issue of Guns and Ammo Stag is marketing a variant of the AR 15, only this one is for left-handed shooters.

It's called the 15L Model 1L. I'm a southpaw shooter and have been thinking of getting such a beast.

Anybody know anything about Stag?

Do a search on here. I think you will be pleased. Short of it is Stag is the trade name for CMT tooling. They make parts for Colt and Rock River among others, good stuff and good pricing. Check with www.eaglefirearms.net

Since they are located in my hometown, I may be partial, but I've heard that they are a good outfit. We are in close proximity to Colt's which is located in the neighboring town.

I own one and have shot several.

Holes are drilled straight and in spec. (unlike some other name brand manufacturer). Fit between receivers is very good with name brand uppers. Finish excellent. Gun goes bang.

Would recommend.

I just bought their Stag-15L Model 2L Pre-Ban. Hope to fire it tomorrow, but so far it's seemed like a nice rifle. It's my first AR, so I don't really know enough to evaluate it in comparison to the other manufacturers, but it's got a nice trigger pull, and I keep hearing good things about 'em. Tomorrow we'll find out what it's capable of!

I went and shot mine for the first time yesterday.It performed flawlessly and was scary accurate with blackhills.The only complaint I have is the the front sight seems to be canted and I had to run the rear sight almost all the way to the right to zero it.
