I ordered some 30-06 brass from Starline on 1/15/2024 and haven't heard a peep from them since I received the order confirmation. Is anyone else here experiencing delays of that magnitude? I know they're "backordered", but 6 weeks seems a bit much.

Ive been looking for some Starline 30-06 and have been checking the website every couple of days for some brass for my sons rifle and havent seen any changes in a couple of months.

Most of the brass that I've ordered that was out of stock has arrived in about a week. I ordered 45-70 brass that took about 30 days, the longest that I have waited so far.

I'm happy with the quality. It ain't Lapua but its more consistent than FC, Hornady, RP or Winchester.

Couple of weeks is the longest any of my back orders have taken.

45 Colt, 450 Bushmaster, 454 Casull, 444 Marlin, and 44 mag

Back orders currently are taking huge amount of time, but if in stock I'd expect the brass to be delivered in no more than a couple weeks.

I've ordered several back-order types of brass. Most arrived in a few weeks.
One of the 32 handgun varieties - I can't remember if it was 32 ACP or 32 Long - took several months.

I do remember that if the backorder isn't filled in X amount of time, they will contact you to verify you still want it, and to re-verify the CC#.

They have not contacted me even though it's been 6 weeks. I just sent them an e-mail. If I don't hear back within 24 hours I'll call them.

I just received this e-mail from customer service at Starline:

Thank you for reaching out. Your order is still active in our system, however at this time it’s really impossible for us to estimate any timeframes due to the volume of orders we have. Once we have the cases completed, we will reach out to update the payment information and process the orders in the order they were received. I apologize for the inconvenience.

I guess they're just really busy there.

Three years.

Back in the first year of the pandemic I signed up to be notified when their .327 Fed Mag brass would be available again.

Three years later they wrote to ask if I were still interested? Yes, I was! I "updated my payment info" and they sent it to me. Even sold it to me at their price from three years ago. Very satisfied.

This is pretty much what they did with my last order. I got a phone call asking if I still wanted the brass and they updated my CC info. About a week later it arrived.

They are a good company to do business with. I'm totally happy with them.

It took 3 years for their .45-70 brass to come back in stock. When it did I ordered 500. They were sold out the next day.
I think the cowboy calibers are pretty low on their priority list. I'm still waiting on .44-40.

My last order took the longest, 45/70 and 30/30. I think it had been a couple months. All other brass I’ve ordered usually turned around within 3-6 weeks. Great brass for the price and worth the wait. I load 30/30, 45/70, 45 Colt, 44 mag and 357 mag with Starline.

Took about 2 months for the 32-20 brass after order it, took a week or so after the email sail to call about payment info. Ordered 32 Winchester Special Jan 23, still waiting.

My understanding is their brass has 3 categories of availability that sort of follows their color coding. If showing "out of stock".....it is just that and don't expect anything anytime soon. I'm not even sure you can place an order in this category. Don't know, never tried it.

But once availability elevates to "out of stock......back order OK".......you can expect it will ship inside of a week or two at the most. I've done that twice and both times it shipped within days of me placing an order.

In stock and available ships immediately.

Out of stock-Backorder okay can take anywhere from a few days to over a year. It just depends on where your order falls in the production cycle.

My 30-06 brass finally arrived today. Turnaround time was 10 weeks.

Between that, and the loaded rounds I already have, I probably have enough to last me the rest of my life.

Glad to see ya got your cases, you should be happy with them.

I use, and have been using them almost exclusively for decades for most all handgun, and in .223, 243, 260, 30-30, and a few others. I have found it to be excellent for my needs. Most of everything I load is for hunting and I have never found issue with working up loads or loosing cases prematurely.

An to answer your original question, yes I have had some decent wait times in the past but mainly for the stuff like 454 or during the craziness. I had a pretty good wait on 1K of some .223's but I was contacted and asked if I wanted to keep the order active, and eventually it did come through. Not like I didn't have other cases to use, but I wanted some NEW brass for hunting load work up with a new rifle, and it has been worth the wait.
