Starline delivery time/delays

I orders 6.8 SPC brass the Monday before thanks giving and they just contacted me last week as the credit card could not be held that long. It should be delivered Wednesday!

Ordered 11/20/23 to delivered 4/10/24 and that is almost 4 1/2 months. I ordered 200 on ebay as I couldn't wait that long.

30-06 order in this AM. I was hoping I could just order, and get it, but Ive seen it on backorder status now for over 6 months. Hopefully the cases will show up before deer season.

Midway has three to choose from. Graf has three to choose from. Don't need to go without. Starline isn't magic.

I dont consider Norma and Nosler to be worth buying and certainly not worth it at $1.32 and $1.76 a case. Both of those brands have terrible primer pocket life, where you might get 3 firings and its trash. Id consider buying the Privi, but its probably not any better than Starline. I like to have between 200-500 pieces of brass per rifle, and 250 pieces at $.49 a pop is a great deal direct from Starline.

Well you said your concerned about hunting season. Sounded like a hunter. A package of Sig would be my pay grade and might last a 10 day season. Hope your order makes it.

Its a gift for my son. This Bergara 30-06 is his hunting rifle, and while it shoots factory ammo pretty well, he wants better. So his rifle, his brass, his bullets. I told him Id put up powder and primers to test what works best, and once he has that, we can make sure I keep that on hand for him. And it will be a good learning experience for him. He has reloaded in the past, but Dad did all the heavy lifting for him, but Im going to make him do it all on his own on this one so he can learn. This 30-06 is a pure hunting rifle, so maybe 30 rounds a year, and 250 piecea of brass will last him a lifetime as I told him if he ever sells it to anyone but me, we will have a "come to Jesus meeting" :)

But you are absolutely correct. If it hits deer season, and we arent done testing, he will have to go buy a box or two of factory ammo to get him by for the season.
