Crickett is single shot which I think is to be preferred for a 7 yr old beginner. The Henry mini bolt is a much much better investment in the long run. I spent a few hours with one and it felt like a mini high quality bolt action rifle. Action, sights, stock, all quality. I was impressed with the accuracy and really wouldn't mind having one myself!
