If I have learned anything from my wife and daughter - just get what they want. If you get what you think is better they probably won't want to use it as much as if it were the one they picked out, at least that is the way it works for me. So I end up taking it back and exchanging it for what they wanted which costs me more money because I lose money on the trade in.
So my vote is for the one she likes, plus the cricket is a good first rifle.
