Why should a "TMJ" bullet be a "thick plated bullet"??
TMJ is Total Metal Jacket.
It's because it has the jacket even on the bullet base/underside.
With FMJ as you can easily check if you have one you can see the lead core.
A plated bullet is usually one with a thinner or thicker "plating" that's put on the outside by a galvanic process.
