Starting to see ammo prices coming down

I see it too via email and online. Locally I still don't see anything. Don't need anything though

I saw 10 dollar boxes of pmc 62 grain lap. Saw 20 dollar 9mm brass cased yesterday too on email special. In stock

Ammoman , for at least a week, has had -Includes shipping - 7.62 X 39 at $310/ 1,000….

This is Much closer to 2019 prices than anything since the hysteria began. It’s not much higher.

The catch is to know the names of the “right” distributors ….

——And on search engine Gunbot,..

o_Oaren’t most prices still reflecting the Pre-Pandemic prices, requiring Updated data ?

WheelGunMan: The only chambering which I didn't store enough of, is 9mm.
Good point you made. I'll wait as long as needed for prices of 9mm to resemble 2019 prices -- then buy in bulk, online.

I've been looking for 17HMR ammo for months now and find scant evidence of price reductions. Most prices are 200%-300% higher than a year ago. AmmoSeek always lists lots of 17HMR ammo, but very little decrease in price. What does seem to be increasing is supply. Hopefully too much supply will decrease the price.

Went to two LGSs today. Still limited selection and high prices. I am seeing the online prices coming down but you have to order in larger quantities to make it worth buying online.

That’s good news. My LGS’s ammo shelves are getting fuller every week. They never gouged prices, just a modest increase so I’ve been able to buy at least some ammo throughout this round of shortages.
Reloading components on the other hand…

Same here. I can buy ammo cheaper at my friends store than I can from my own distributors. Unfortunately, he had a plumbing issue and had to remove inventory and display cases so he could demo the store. Been closed a month with no relief in sight.

For many months most people seem to have been interested in local availability, instead of online.

The emphasis in the last two-three weeks seems to be only about its —visibility—-in retail stores, no matter what price.

Finally….Price drop from $380 to $330 for 1,000 rds. at JGSales: 7.62x39.
More progress, indeed. :)
