Tell me about this gun. I can pick one up for 140.00 after a trade in .22. Thumb hole stocks and, Range reports would be great. The Savage 110 action is great. Hog / Deer gun.

its basicly a budget Savage. made at the same factory ( right here in MA) it does NOT have the much faimed accu-trigger and sports a rather cheap plastic stock. no iron sitess

but a GREAT rifle for about 300$ NIB. and depending on what the .22 is id say its almost a steal

They are great budget rifles. More than accurate enough for realistic hunting distances. Put a decent scope on it and you will have a hunting rifle that will serve you well for years (and you don't have to worry about taking into the field).

I put a Bushnell Banner on mine and have less than $400 in the entire package. Last season I took a doe at about 175 yards with one shot using 150gr Winchester Super X (cheapest hunting ammo I could find).

If you have an questions shot me a pm.

I can't believe this thread popped up, I was just considering starting one regarding the savage 200 .223.
just out of curiosity, and not to hijack BAT1's thread, can you get aftermarket stocks for these? would a stock meant for another make fit the stevens?
what about a heavy barrel?

It's on its way. New. This is really a great gun. Savage 110 action. Great round. Made in America. I was thinking a Boyd thumb hole stock in varmint or full size pepper laminate. I'll slip on a Limb Saver and a Scope and see how it does with factory ammo first. Break er in!
Deer and Hogs beware.

I love mine, very accurate. I put it in a Choate adjustable stock and its printing sub- moa when i'm shooting good. It likes Federal gold match 168 BTHP.
Here are some groups.

That is great to know. Found some great 4x12x40 glass from Shooters Edge for 69.00. Will Learn, nice groups! I heard their barrels are temp stable. What model # stock was it it, the SA sniper stock? That's the one I want. :D

Took it out to the range today, after 2 shots to adjust the scope, it got 1 " groups! Easy on the shoulder, and darn accurate for the money. Last shot was a bullseye. I could only find Winchester 147 gr and AE 150 gr ammo. Great gun for running through the brush after hogs and pigs. Great Value.
