There are a couple of these for sale online for around 250 right now, New Old Stock. Seems pretty cheap to me, but as I recall these were pretty good weren't they? Anything to watch for? As I recall they were basically a Savage 110 but without features. I have never shot one for groups.

I have 2, a .223 and a. 270. They don't have the accutriggers but they can be adjusted pretty easily. They are the only centerfire bolt guns I have and they do the job well. The 223 has put .ore than a few yokes into the dirt.

My nephew has one in 22-250. I would buy every 200 I could for 250.

I used to have one in 223 for coyotes and other smaller critters. I put in a Boyd's stock that required quite a bit of work to get it decent and epoxy bedded it. It was a 3/4" rifle with my handloads. I got on the AR bandwagon and sold it which I look back on as a dumb stunt on my part. Someone got a nice little rifle.

They were basically the plastic stocked old model Savage 110 after the new model incorporated the AccuTrigger. Mechanically they are just as accurate but the if you want a super light trigger you will need to replace the factory unit.

I have one in 223 that I use as a switch barrel to 250 savage. I'd buy another in a heart beat at that price. Care to share where these might be lurking ? After you get your of course.

I have one of the original Savage 110's without the accutrigger that essentially became the Stevens 200. It was actually the first centerfire rifle I purchased myself.

Its a good, accurate rifle and the trigger doesn't really bother me much. If it does Timney does have some better triggers available for these. My only complaint (and its minor) is the stock is a little too thick around the grip area, but I have small hands and I'm not sure if the stock profile really carried over to the Stevens 200 (my 110 has a wood stock - the Stevens were all synthetic).

I'm pretty sure they still had the blind mag on these though that doesn't bother me. I actually prefer a blind box max to a detachable magazine (though I prefer a hinged floorplate over either setup).

I had a 308. As said they are a Savage 110 without some features. Solid guns and I'd buy one at that price.

I'm another who will buy a couple at $250, if you're getting one let us know where the rest are!

My 35 whelen is an old savage 110 with the non accu trigger, and I like it like that.

I have a Stevens 200 in 7mm-08. I really like mine though some people complained about the twist rate. I put a Boyd's wood stock on it and it shoots well and kills deer like a champ.

took my 270 Stevens and re-barreled to 6.5x55 Swede. Why? Because I didn't want a Creedmore.

think of it as a pre-accutrigger Savage - that is all it really is.

I have one in 7mm-08 I picked up for $200. Good rifle, if not basic. I'll build it into a Susurrus integrally suppressed rifle and put it in a Boyds stock to sell it at some point.

I have one in .243 Win. Added a Rifle Basix trigger, Hogue recoil pad, and my son did a light sanding job on the factory Tupperware stock and gave it a camo paint job. It is very accurate and has taken coyotes out past 400 yards with Nosler 70 gr Ballistic Tip or Varmageddon handloads. Can’t beat it for the price, I think I paid $259 for it more than a few years ago. The Redfield Revolution 4-12x40 scope on it is getting tired. Might upgrade the glass next time I find a screaming deal. (Am blessed/cursed with the frugality gene.)
