Hi all-

I have a relative that's looking for an O/U shotgun in 12 gauge. I'm really not a shotgun guy at all but he said that his local shop had a Stevens 555 in stock for ~$600 and it looked decent to him. A Google search shows that it's made in Turkey and has chrome lined bores. It also has a steel reinforced aluminum receiver. This all sounds good to me but I'd like to hear any opinions on them.

Any other suggestions for a decent over under for under $1000 are also welcome. Thanks.

You might want to look at Jaqua's Fine Guns In Findlay. Might be a bit out of the way, but would be worth a day trip. Just a casual glance I found a B.C. Miroku Daly for about $800. That Miroku is 4 times the gun your looking at.

Thanks. I'm in Ohio but my relative is in Northern NJ. He has a whole one gun shop in his area. Slim pickings.
