I'm trying to figure out what my dads gun is? The barrel say's rem target master 510, But the rest of the gun is stevens marksman#12, the stock and forearm is laminated and the barrel has been chambered for 22.mag. Is there such a gun or has this been modified by a gunsmith?

I don't think "modified" is an adequate word.
Built is more like it.
Built with a Stevens action and rechambered Remington barrel, in new stock.
Custom built if nicely done.
Frank DeHaas said the No 12 was a better design than even a real Maynard and strong enough for .22 magnum. The Remington LR barrel might be a little tight but I doubt it a real problem.
How does it shoot?

Using a .22 LR barrel for .22 Magnum is not a good idea. The .22 WMR bullet is a tad bigger, but the real problem is that the soft steel of the .22 LR barrel will shoot out pretty quickly with the hotter powder and jacketed bullets of the WMR.
