Depends on the overall condition, any accessories, paperwork, type of scope mounts, bbl length,etc.. Unless it is sporting a very high end piece of glass, scopes usually don't add much to value.
Could be. I included that comment about high end galss in case he has a A2 variant, The A2 has a detachable sight and redesigned charging handle that allows mounting of a Mil-Std 1913 rail.
Also, Microtech Small Arms Research Inc. makes an AUG copy called the MSAR STG-556 which allows for a Mil-STD 1913 rail.
FYI - At one time U.S. Customs used them. Not sure if they still do.
