Sti spartan question

I'm wanting to replace the sights on my spartan with something a little more carry friendly. Does anyone know if xs sights fit the spartan? I was thinking about trying their base model without the tritium to see if I like them before putting them on my glock.

Rear sight says lpa

I think it depends on which Spartan you have. I think there were differences between the rear dovetail cuts from the Spartan IV to Spartan V and the front is some proprietary geometry.

I would contact STI and get the straight scoop before shelling out the money for a set of sights that may or may not fit.

I'm pretty sure those XS sight you've linked at Brownell's won't work.

I think STI usually uses the Bomar cut, but the Spartan came from the PI, so it may be different.

The Spartan uses an LPA cut.

Just as a warning though - not all LPA cuts are quite the same. I've got another Para Ordnance that uses an LPA cut and when I went to add a Kensight rear LPA cut to that it wouldn't fit without a bit of filing on the slide. Nothing major, but it certainly wasn't going to fit as-is.

I've never replaced the sights on my Spartan though so I'm not sure how well it plays with aftermarket ones.

Contacted sti and they said rear is a lpa sight cut, but front sight can vary and they couldnt give me an exact answer. :|
