This target was shot in 1961 at Friendship Indiana in the timed fire 25 yd match
Timed fire is 5 shots in 5 min. Rest about 10 min. Then do it again. This was
shot with a 45 caliber single shot pistol. The man behind the gun, the one & only
William Carver of Sandusky Ohio. Bill was a good friend of mine and we visited
quite a bit through out the years. He taught me about everything I know about
pistol shooting. He WAS the man to beat. I last seen and talked to the "Saucy
Cat". In 2005, He passed away soon after. This target is still the record after
all these years and the thousands of times it has been shot at. It scores. A
100 & 9X's. My wife came close a few years back with a 100 & 7X's. Rip Bill
The load was 30 grs DuPont FFF, 451 ball, barrel a piece of a 45-70 rifle barrel same
as what's on my Old Army with a one in 22 twist.
