Stoeger barrel question.

Would I be able to fit a coach gun bbl onto my uplander? Between both shotguns, the barrel length looks to be the only difference, but I want to be sure. Which raises my second question. Does anyone know where I could purchase a Stoeger coach gun bbl?

From what I remember, everything on both shotguns look exactly the same except for the barrel length. I just want to make double sure before I try and get my hands on a coach gun bbl.

Have you checked the Stoeger website? or called their customer service number (301) 283-6981?

I suspect that the correct answer is that only a gunsmith can assure you of the safe operation of receiver A attached to barrel set A+ where A+ is a barrel from another gun from the same manufacturer.

I sent my Uplander back to Stoeger (loose rib...they have great customer service, by the way) and they called to tell me that they couldn't fix the rib and would send me a new shotgun. I told them I'd rather get just new barrels, as the wood on mine was very nice. They told me they couldn't simply replace the barrels, as each receiver and barrel set is matched. Look at the serial number-it's on both the receiver and the barrels, indicating that they are a matched set. I'm sure if you sent them your receiver, they could match up another set of barrels. Give them a call or send an e-mail. I found their support staff very helpful.
