Stoeger uplander sxs 20 gauge steel load?

So i recently bought a stoegor uplander sxs in 20 gauge i love the gun but am worried i could damage the barrel with steel if its not designed to shoot.

The barrels should state whether they are proofed for steel; otherwise, read the Owner's manual to determine that.

The Uplander is a modern gun with choke tubes. You can shoot any factory 20 ga steel through any of the tubes except full. I like an ounce of #3 in 20 ga 3" for ducks and it also works well on pheasants out to 30 yards.
