It’s getting really hard to keep track of patch jags, brushes, mops, screws, solvent, patches, etc. tried an old tackle box and if it gets tipped over they just fall out of the slot and make a mess. Any tips?

I use the boxes like they use in a parts store on my shelves to put patches, cleaning tips, etc. Keeps things together and I just pull the box, take what I need and put the box back on the shelf. Doesn't make it portable to take to the range, etc., But it has worked well for me on the bench.

I have a large aluminum tool box that I keep my cleaning stuff and gun related tools in. Sinclair/Brownells has a nice selection of cleaning and storage related stuff. They offer a small cigarette pack size plastic box that will hold jags, brushes and bore mops that I use. I write the caliber on the box with a sharpie.

A shooting buddy also uses a tool box but his has 2 or 3 drawers in it. It looks like it works well for him. Walmart also has a large selection of plastic cases in the fishing section. And in the cooking section.

I have a kitty litter box full of patches. I cut my own from old clothes. Brushes and jags i keep in a tool box with dividers, Solvents i buy in bulk bottles and transfer it into smaller bottles. With a flip open cap/lid. Rods i hang up on eye hooks. I use one piece rods.

I use dollar store cleaning caddy to keep cleaning supplies/items organized and easy to transport (I line the bottom with paper towel to soak up drips).

I also use large/tall soup/tomato cans lined with paper towel to store large bottle of Hoppes #9, solvent/oil bottles along with brushes and use one as trash can.

And when I am headed to the range, it's easy to take the plastic bins and caddy for cleaning at the range along with roll of Kleenex Viva paper towel. Plastic bin is handy for keeping small parts/pins/springs if disassembly is required (I have cable pull-through cleaning kits for field use if need arises and lately have added some nitrile/vinyl gloves)

Reusable zipper bags hold various "kits" which sit inside various boxes stored in storage containers/shelving units. There are also various small boxes which contain parts related to specific firearms or needs. One shelf/unit contains all the things I need to beak down and clean all my firearms at home. This would be things that I need but wouldn't take to the range/plinking such as patches, a healthy supply of CLP/grease/oil, oil soaked rags, jags and rods, spare parts, and my trusty torque wrench. I have a box with bags assigned to different firearms for outings. My 10/22 and PC9 both have their own "range bags" which include everything needed to break down and clean/trouble shoot my firearms while out having fun. The "range bags" have bore snakes, smaller bottles of CLP/grease/oil, clean rags, allen wrenchs, q-tips, chamber flags, and whatnot for use at the range or otherwise. Inside of various small boxes are extra parts or stock parts which I save in case the aftermarket parts break.
