I’m not normally a pocket-knife collector, but this estate sale find was too cool to pass up.
Made by Camillus beginning in 1935.
Marked Sword Brand with crossed sword logo on one side, and Camillus Cutlery Co. Camillus NY on the other. It has 2 7/8” & 1 ¾” blades.
The main blade is deeply stamped with the Streamline name.
It was a word play on the newfangled Streamliner locomotives then coming into use by the railroads.
Union Pacific kicked things off in 1934 when they introduced the Streamliner M-10000 locomotive in February of that year.
Just two months later the Burlington railroad debuted its Zephyr engine.
Less than a year later, Camillus followed with its Streamline pocket knife line.

Early Streamline knife ad:
This one obviously has seen a lot of miles in someone’s overalls pocket years ago, maybe an old Chicago Great Western railroad man?
But it still walks & talks like a good knife should.
