Just finished watching Streets of Fire on DVD which I hadn't watched in years. I love these old 80's (and 70's) B-movies. One thing I noticed in the movie is that some store must have had a blowout special on lever action rifles because there are about a hundred of them in this movie. Made for a lot of cool *chik-chik* moments for the sound editors though. Also, it's hard to beat a good sledgehammer showdown for originality.
This movie was directed by Walter Hill, who also directed one of the greatest movies of all time, The Warriors, as well as Last Man Standing (a 1911 lover's wet dream). This guy does some cool B-ish movies. He also directed Crossroads, which my friends and I thought of as the ultimate guitar movie when we were in high school.
What are some of your favorite B-movies and B-movie gun moments?
We've already discussed normal, mainstream movies until we're blue in the face so let's keep this focused more on the cheaper, weird, undergroundish B stuff.
