The best buy I could find for ammo (5.56) came on stripper clips. The ammo arrived today and looks good (I hope to shoot some soon). I'm new to stripper clips. I saw the small metal tab and bent it down. Is there some other trick to get the rounds to come out and into the magazine easy? Or should I not even mess with them?

It's for an AR 180-B which doesn't have an open chamber up top like the demos I saw on Wikipedia.

Thanks.

You need a spoon. It is the gray item on the left in the picture below. Do AR180Bs take standard AR15 magazines? If so, just get a spoon for an AR15. The spoon goes on the magazine. The clip goes in the spoon, and push down on the top cartridge. Presto, the rounds are in the magazine!
The tabs are to keep the rounds in the stripper clip. It's nice to be able to bend them gently and reuse them, but they'll eventually break. For non-combat, not a big deal.
