How high can you stack these things (standard 50 cal and 30 cal cans)? I have a bunch that I need to put into a small floor space area, so naturally stacking them up seems to be the way to go. I strongly suspect that I won't run into any problems (I'm only going 4 high, with the fully loaded ones at the bottom), but I'm now actually curious to know how high I can stack 'em if I ever own that much ammo. ;)

Thanks,
Mike

I have seen pallets of them (empty cans mind you) at the local medical disaster warehouse. They were stacked as high as my head which makes it right about 6 foot.

You can stack 'em as high as you want. The problem you run into is them tipping over unless there is another column of cans next to the first. The likelyhood of them tipping over depends on the condition of the cans, and what type of floor (carpet/connex/concrete/etc) they are on. We usually stack the cans in our connex 5 or 6 high. We could go higher but it makes them easier to pick them up when they are stacked to reasonable heights.

Gotcha. I suspected that I could probably stack them as high as I would resonably want to.

Thanks,

Mike

You can stack them about 7 or 8 high but you have to be careful about weight.I've heard of people cracking the slab.Expensive to get fixed.

Yeah, I don't see myself stacking them high enough (or full enough) to do that kind of damage. I just wanted to make sure that there wasn't an unexpectedly low limit (Do Not Stack Over Three High!) or some such silliness.

Thanks,
Mike
