I bought my Browning Buck Mark Camper over two years ago. Early on, I took it apart and cleaned it once. I discovered that the recoil spring assembly wasn't correctly installed from the factory, so I made the correction upon reassembly. I haven't cleaned it for about two years. It is the only pistols that is always in my range bag. My co-workers use it every month during our monthly Adobe Shooters League events. It has at least 5,000 rounds through it without cleaning, perhaps more, and it's still going strong, meaning reliable and accurate. It prefers the Federal 550-round bulk packs from Wal-Mart. At this point, I am afraid to clean it, for fear that it will affect its accuracy and/or reliability. I had the "loose screws" problem only once, and simply tightening them down did the trick. I didn't need to use any loc-tite.
Mine is a standard Camper (all-black), but I had all of the steel parts (everything except for the frame, because it's aluminum) hard chromed by Tripp Research right after I bought it. I had wanted a nickel version, but none were available at the time, and Browning was saying six months. A co-worker bought a nickel version last year, and I like the hard-chromed look better.
I am very happy with this pistol.
