Want something new. Have several Glocks, a couple of Sigs (DA/SA), Kahr PM9, 1911 in 9mm. Ruger GP100 .357 revolver and .38 special j frame. My 1911 is my nicest handgun. I have carry weapons covered. No interest in a S&W 500. Have around $500 cash and can add some to it. But, not an additional $500.

Suggestion on an autoloader?

Suggestion on another revolver?

Another thought is a HD shotgun with higher capacity than my 4+1 870 Express with 18 inch barrel.

how about a .44 mag revolver? a nice step up but not too big.

do you hunt?

i'm looking into a nice, short side-by-side shotgun. something in 20 gauge for pheasants. that may interest you as well.

Oh,I have shotguns and rifles pretty much set. Maybe a dedicated HD shotgun would be added.

Since you like your M1911, how about a RIA M1911 Tactical in .45ACP? I think you can get one for under $500 and they're a decent gun for the money. As to a revolver, maybe a Ruger Vaquero in .45LC, or else a Ruger Blackhawk convertible in .45LC/.45ACP.

How about a great 22 pistol like a highstandard target or S&W's model 41 i think ,It's there older but still current high end semi=auto.

I'm sort of like you, Maybe something really different. I'm thinking of possibly buying a Ruger Charger, and dress it up. cheap to shoot and fun.

Autoloader: CZ 75b (my favorite 9mm) with the Kadet conversion kit (VERY accurate)

Revolver: that limited run of Ruger Blackhawk 44 specials, built on the same frame as their anniversary 357.

I think you should spend your $500 on an advanced pistol training class for your "nice" 1911.

How about a used Hi-Power in good condition? Be careful, though, once you buy one you'll want another, and another, etc.

BTW, nice collection so far!

Get yourself to a range that rents guns and run some ammo through as many as you can get your hands on. Take some friends along who own guns and run some ammo through theirs as well. Once you find a gun or two that really fits your hand and eye, run some more rounds through it, just to be sure. And that, my friend, is the way to find your next handgun ... a much-better approach than gathering ideas from well-meaning folks on a gun board.

That having been said, be sure to take a look at a Walther P5 or a Walther P99. Both are top-notch.

Check out the EAA Witness Elite Match handguns -- I'f you like 1911s
you will love this gun.

You can get them in 9mm,10mm,38 Super , 40S&W , 45acp and .22rf -- they are Hi-Cap between 15-18 rds. and are hardly wider then the 1911.
Best of all --- you can get all the above cal. in conversion kits and use the one frame.

Do a search in the semi-auto forum and you will find some good info on them.

I don't see a nice single action cowboy revolver in your list. Perhaps kill two bird with one bullet and go for a Ruger Blackhawk in .44 Magnum. You'll get a single action as well as the .44 mag all in one.

Or are you up for some black powder shooting with a replica cap and ball revolver?

Looks like you need a twenty-two, here's some suggestions:

Semi-auto:
Used Beretta 75 or 76
Beretta 87 Cheetah
Used S&W 41

Revolver:
Ruger Single-Six 5.5" stainless
Used S&W 17 or 18

Rifle:
CZ452
Used Mossberg 44 or 46M

Add another vote for an EAA Witness Elite Match. Make mine a 10mm since you have .355-.357 and .452 caliber weapons already.
