How many of you change your weapon depending on the season?

In the winter I carry a USP45 or a 5" GI 1911. The extra clothing allows better concealment of a larger weapon.

During the summer, it's the SA Champion or an SP101.

What do you do?

i carry a star pd 45 year round . 25 ounces, 4 inch barrel, 45 cal. i could go with a lighter gun but the weight is not a problem,

Summer (equals nine months per year)--Kahr PM9, pocket carry

"Winter" (equals whenever a cover garment is appropriate)--Kahr P45 or 3" 1911 IWB

If I had a dollar for every time I've replied to this question, I could go buy a new Milt Sparks VMII :)

Open and concealed carry means I don't have to worry about any of that; I carry the same 1911 all year around. If I'm carrying concealed and someone see the lump, so what.

Carry the same platform; a 1911. I just carry different sizes of the above. Currently it is a 3 inch SIS Ultra. I will go back to the 5 inch once it gets cooler and I can get away with more cover.

I'm getting more and more ready to move to that model of carry, because Maine is fine with OC and if my cover garment happens to blow open or something, it really doesn't matter.

I carry a Glock 27 in the summer mostly, and a CZ PCR, this winter I am not sure what I will be carrying. Probably minimum will be the PCR though.

Not really much difference in winter dress down here unless a norther blows in and it don't last 5 minutes usually. I am in T shirt and jeans in January, usually. When a front blows in, I might put on a hoody or sweat shirt. I pocket a Kel Tec 9mm and it's plenty of gun for self defense. Don't need no 40 ounce lunks winter or summer.

I carry the same steel 39 oz Commander winter or summer.

As it pulled at me, I kept repeating the famous "It's not supposed to be comfortable. It's supposed to be comforting."

I've even learned to walk straight with hardly any compensation in posture, although at one time I was considering a New York Reload to balance things out. ;)

(The first two paragraphs are true. The third is an attempt to recognize how hard it is to CCW 100% and inject a little humor...not true.)

Summer, 340pd in nemisis holster front pocket. Winter, add a S&W 627 under my coat in a shoulder rig or my briefcase.

mostly I carry a 340pd. but when required to wear a sportcoat or suit, it changed to a P226

Not a fair question...depends if your Law Enforcement or your location!!!
Im in so. cal. ! ...so if I could wear an overcoat I'd be carrying a SHOTGUN!!!
Just kidding...but you get my point!

Dan

I'll carry my 442/642 year round and also carry a Glock 26 in winter when heavier clothes will allow for IWB carry. Otherwise I can't find anything to beat pocket carying the j-frame. Carries just as eay in a jacket as it does in a pant pocket.

Glock 26 IWB all year. With a t-shirt, and a polo over the top, it disappears. If I am dressed up to meet clients, I take a Kel-Tec P32 in my front pocket... but not if I can help it.
