I searched around but didn't find this question answered on the forums.

I understand these may be fake, but I don't think the rifles are.

Any idea what they are?

not sure what action is in it, but the stock is an XLR chassis. pretty common in the practical shooting scene. they're not bad. they make a nice folder too

btw, i hadn't seen that last photograph. good grief. not sure if he was posing or what, but you'd think if there was a chance you'd be called on to make a precision shot in the middle of 80,000 hostages, with months to prepare, you'd get a more stable seat than a $5 cloth folding chair from wally world.

But its got a tactical cup holder built in! :)

What those pictures are telling me is that we have snipers aiming rifles at folks during a sporting event? Now I really feel safe

They'll probably say there were officers armed with super duper fully automatic bolt action telescopic night vision sunshade equipped assault guns that were capable of bringing down the Int'l space station. And they were aiming them all through the crowd.I would think the officer needs a better and more stable position.I wouldn't want him to have to pop the guy next to me.Awesome stock though.

There was no round in the chamber the entire time.

An unloaded firearm is a safe firearm.

They seem to do a good job of keeping it low key, at least on the surface, but I would expect the security presence at the Superbowl to be enormous.

Personally, I'm perfectly happy people can't be armed at sporting events. Look at all the fights that already erupt, then imagine them with guns!

Yeah you can't trust people to have guns. There should probably be a law.

You definitely cannot trust some people with guns in some situations. Lots of guys are very intense about the game. Heck, I get riled up about football just watching it in the house. At actual games, fights erupt in the stands all the time that the police need to step in to stop. If a fight breaks out near me, I would rather NOT have to worry about whether these crazed yahoos have a gun or not.
