I just bought a winchester super x model 1 in great condition came with a full choke and a improved and was wondering if there are after market barrels with adjustable chokes for this gun.
I have owned SX1's for several years, and currently own 6 of them. I have never seen or heard of an after market bbl for an SX1. You can send your bbl to Briley and they can fit it with screw chokes.
Some people, me for instance, have found that the fixed chokes on the SX-1 barrels are simply wonderful. Mine is MOD. I keep saying I'm going to buy an IC barrel, but the MOD works great.
John, I agree 100%. 4 of the six I own have 28" mod choked bbls on them, 1 has a 26" IC and 1 has a 28" full choke bbl. I shoot sporting clays and having a fixed mod choke took me from A to master class in quick order.
