I have heard and have read about people getting baffle strikes with to short of a barrels. I have heard to not go shorter than 10.5" with a 556. Is the same true with a 9mm? I was looking at a 7.5 or 8.5 inch barrel. Any experience. Thanks guys

It doesn't matter with a 9mm. I think most think that 5" barrel for 9mm AR is the best for suppression and keeping subsonic rounds from going too fast.

I use a TROS 5" 3-lug barrel optimized for heavier 9mm projectiles. It is really accurate and runs flawlessly with my trident-9

I don't know why you'd suddenly get baffle strikes when shooting from an AR platform. People regularly shoot out of short barreled handguns with suppressors.
