As I am sure many know, that within the last year or so. Maybe longer. The ATF ruled suppressor wipes as being suppressor parts, and thus NOT legally user replaceable. To get a new one, one must go to an authorized service center or send the can back for a new one.
The way I understand it, is you can only have one Wipe in your possession as well.
however after seeing a dead air ghost and it’s wipe, I realized it matched almost identically including material type to a gasket/seal/washer on my custom 4x4 truck.
Unless you had both side by side, you wouldn’t be able to tell which one was which. Minor differences in size of hole in the middle, and thickness.
So really makes me wonder how the ATF would ever know what I am using or needing the extra “washers/gaskets/seals” and what I am using them for. My truck or the suppressor. They would be hard pressed to prove otherwise.
